This is the reason why Instagram allows you to create multiple accounts, depending on your hobbies and the kind of content you want to upload. But how many Instagram accounts can you make?
To sign up on Instagram, you can use your Facebook profile, phone number, and email address. If you don’t want to connect your Facebook account to the rest of the Instagram accounts, you can choose your phone number or email ID. The main reason why people create more than one Instagram account is to separate their multiple personal accounts or to separate their personal from professional accounts. That way, it becomes easier to manage your profiles and photos.
One thing to note is that Instagram allows you to add up to five different accounts in a single device. However, in theory, you can have more than five, but switching from one profile to another will not be easy. If you want more than five accounts, you will have to juggle between different emails and passwords.

To keep your professional life separate. If you own a business, then it makes total sense to separate your business profile from that of a personal profile. You would certainly not want your customers to flood the message box of your personal account with tons of queries. Plus, you would also not want your customers and clients to see your private photos. It’s the same reason why you should never add your colleagues to your Facebook account.
Lots of business perks. When you have a separate business profile, you will get more analytical data, which will enable you to see how good your business profile is performing. Not just this, the business profile will allow you to pay for the paid promotions as well. This feature is not available on a personal account.
Privacy settings. Another reason why you should always have a separate profile for your Instagram is that you don’t want your clients and customers to see what you are up to this weekend. By having multiple accounts, you get to decide who gets to see and what. You can keep your personal account private, whereas the professional account public so that more and more prospective clients can join you.
To maintain different interests. If you have followers, then those followers would want to see a certain type of feeds on your profile. Meaning, if you’re uploading photography related images, then it’s better to keep that account only for photographic images. Simultaneously if you are an influencer, rather keep one account related to your work only.
So all in all, you can technically create as many profiles as you want, depending on how many emails you have. However, you can only switch between five different accounts in the app.
