The new update of changing Instagram Chat or Direct Message (DM) Colors means that you no longer need to go to your Instagram Direct Messages and chat with people while looking at the same boring white and grey chat bubbles. You can now customize and spice up your chat themes to create a more appealing messenger.

The Instagram DM Colors has loads of options to start using. There are solid colors, gradients, and themes like; Pride, love, tie or dye, and more. How to Change the Instagram Chat Color?

The new authentic Instagram App feature is still rolling in across the world. So if it is not available to you yet, do not worry, it might be late for your screens, but the new chat color schemes are coming to users soon.

Once your Instagram App updates, you can apply this new feature. After the automatic update, you will be prompted with a notification in your Home Screen Feed when you go on to your Instagram Profile. It will prompt you about the new update and ask if you would want to start changing your related theme.

Here is a full step by step guide of how you can go about it:

2. 2. Log On to your Instagram App Account.
3. 3. On Instagram Home Page, click the icon that looks like a “paper airplane” on your screen’s top right-hand corner.
4. 4. Instagram Chats will Open on a new screen.
5. 5. Open one of your Instagram DMs.
6. 6. Click on the “i” icon, which stands for “Info” on the top right-hand corner of the chat screen.
7. 7. From the Chat Settings choices, find “Theme” and click on it.
8. 8. Once you tap on “Themes,” you can start choosing your customized color themes for your Instagram DMs.
9. 9. You would have to repeat these steps for different chats.

Just Note; The App will give you a notification once you change your related chat colors. Furthermore, it will also notify the other person every time you change the private chat colors. So maybe try not to change the chats theme colors too often.
